A Shelby author has taken the Bible to help him tell the story of ancient Black nations.

One of the most read books in the world has a lot of lessons people can still use to learn about their heritage, said author and historian Ronald Harrill.
​
Harrill, 70, drew inspiration to write "Children of Genesis: The Black Nations in the Old Testament" while studying to present Sunday school lessons in church, he said.
